first one was good fun co-op but a bit too easy, Demo for this one is more realistic however harder to control the planes, my order should arrive soon!

I quite liked the concept of the original until I played the demo. I didn't quite get why I was flying my plan from a distance rather than being inside the plan/behind it. I also dug out a joystick to try it which wasn't supported, I'm assuming the sequel is much of the same?

Wasn't there some kind of manouvering thing that you had to do with it that put the camera at a stationery point watching the plane fly about whilst you were still controlling it? That's the bit that left me thinking WTF?

there is that mode but tbh, its only good if your showing off doing stunts etc. To actually play the game i used the chase cam and virtual cockpit one. Could always try the first one, im sure you could get it uber cheap. i bought it a few months back for £5!

Might give it a go in that case. The demo seemed to demand that mode be used to do anything useful in a dogfight but it may be that I got the wrong end of the stick after being miffed that I'd spent ages digging out my joystick just for it not to work.

yep you could switch off the computer that controlled the complicated stuff and fall in style.

have you tried the demo for hawx 2?? its got a forced camera like the other one.

Will download the demo of 1 and 2 and try them on a console this time. I did like Ace Combat 6 although the storyline did go a bit off the rails.

the demo is out on xbox live and is great... mid-air refuelling and take off /landing from aircraft carriers!
