Hi all, can any one tell me what the Engine Power on a 1982 308GTS , California Model was. Think this year was still on Cabs ? Looking at possibly buying one.
I beleive it was less than the Euro Model ? Any info much appreciated. Thanks

By 1982 it would have been an injection model,
2 valve, I think UK cars were 214 BHP and and US strangled ones were 204 BHP.
The QV followed shortly after.

As per Tim’s response, it’s the lowest powered of the lot (even the claimed 204bhp seems optimistic when behind the wheel of one) and the US spec included amongst other things, the rather ugly and surprisingly heavy impact bumpers and the usual US emissions crap (cats, additional air pumps etc) you'd not want to put it up against any half decent hot hatch

Its well worth saving a couple of thousand more and getting a ROW spec car (UK / EU etc) smile

Hi Guys, many for your replys, had a feeling it would be strangled to around 200hp. Plus the heavy bumpers. Its in a good colour combo but too expensive.

Bit of a sloth after 300 in my Griff!!
