E46 M3 Reverse Gear Problem

Hi

I am new to this scene and have just bought a Mystic Blue 04 M3 cabby (manual)and i am having trouble with reverse gear, sometimes goes in fine but more often it jumps out or needs to be grinded into position (not good I know)....

Any advice on possible problem and cure would be appreciated.
