Watching the GP at the weekend reminded me of just what a glorious circuit Spa is. So I toddled off to Google to see what the scope for track days there is. On the face of it, events there are plenty and no more expensive than in the UK.

So what are your experiences of track time at Spa? Can you recommend any organisers who do a particularly good job - whether on the day/weekend at the circuit or in terms of overall care/package?

Spa is the daddy of all circuits for me. I'd trade 10 days at any UK race circuit for a single day at Spa. Simply awesome in any weather.

I was also on one of the Goldtrack days at the end of June and would echo Eduardo's comments. Great day, well organised and an awesome track!

I did Spa with RSR Nurburg earlier in the year who joined up with RMA. The organisation is a bit eccentric but it was a fabulous day with only 50 cars on circuit (think we were lucky) so almost a clear track. Loved the circuit and would go back there any time. The 'track walk' with Ron Simons made it special too - standing at the top of Eau Rouge and getting a real sense of the gradient.

We've been to Spa with BookaTrack about 9 times so far - each time taking in track time over both days (BaT tend to run double-headers).

The first 8 outings was in our old MK1 MR2's which don't have long enough legs to streatch on the longer staights compared to some of the faster cars, but great fun hstling some of them faster cars all the way from Les Combes right down to Stavelot is great fun biggrin

The last trip end July/Early August we had our VX220 out and it was even better as we weren't hustled on the longer straights too much.

BaT tends to book around 100 cars for their events there but even with those numbers you can still sometimes experience 2 or 3 laps without seeing another car. Even if you do see other cars, traffic is never a problem - over-taking opportunities are endless.

Also with BaT the track etiquette and general atmosphere in the padock is truly awesome.

Best circuit in my book by a long shot thumbup

We're back there in November with BaT smokin

Making my first trip there with some mates in October with Circuit days, can't wait. Especially after we were supposed to go at Easter and part of the track/tunnel collapsed.

Does anyone have a graph of the elevation of the circuit?

I've not seen a graph - but the circuit map we get from them shows the elevation change at ~100m from the highest point at Les Combes to the lowest point at Stavelot.
