Tamora stereo/speakers upgrade...

Has anyone upgraded their set-up at all and if so with what? (speakers/head unit/amp etc) - I generally prefer no music other than that from the car but on occasion it's nice to have a spot of music and the standard gear isn't upto much at all.

I don't think this has ever been discussed before :-)

A set of 6x9s on the rear shelf is probably the cheapest option.

16.5cm MB quart reference mid-base in the back
13cm MB quart reference componants in the front
Alpine IPOD (no CD) head unit.
No amp needed as the MB quarts are easy to drive. It won't make your ears bleed like the chav cars with enough subs to cause seismic tremors but its a small cabin so you don't need a great deal of power.

Youcan DIY but I paid Karl Baker to do my install as you need to build door pods in the front doors to take the speakers and its likely there will be no speaker wires (or they won't be connected to anything) so you need to drill the doors/pillars to run new cables.

In Dunstable if you want a listen to mine anytime.
