What should I do?

Okay, so the situation is that due to a job change, I have recently moved from my relatively rural home and now live in Bristol.
I bought a 2005 Civic Type-R back at the start of the year, and adore it, especially with all the country roads back home it was an absolute joy.
Now the problem is that I’m paranoid about where I park at the best of times (always park right at the back when going to the supermarket etc.) and I currently live in a small block of 10 flats, each has their own parking spot but they’re tiny, narrower than a supermarket spot so I’m constantly worried about getting a parking ding, it’s also a lot harder to clean it now easily as there isn’t really access to a hose. I also feel like I’m ‘wasting’ it, as I can walk to work, and in the last month have barely done anything other than use it to drive to the shops and make short journeys.
Basically, I’m trying to decide whether to sell it and buy something that I’m not going to care if someone opens their door into it, or keep it (as I still love it) and try to stop worrying about it getting damaged/not driving it like I’ve got used to…..

Genuine question: would you be bankrupted by a slight loss in resale value? If you can't afford for someone to haggle £50 off for a slight blemish in the paintwork then sell it. If you can then live with it.
Unless you plan to move somewhere safer in the near future there's no point putting your life on hold due to the parking facilities!
