OK. A previous owner of my Cerb (4.5) had some headwork done and also fitted 'uprated' cams. Unfortunately there is no record of which cams were fitted! Apparently they could be the reason that the low rev range is so lumpy. If this is the case I can stop worrying about the lumpiness and carry on enjoying the power at 3k RPM+.
However, the type of cam fitted will obviously influence the tuning/mapping/valve clearance/cam-timing to some extent.
How many different cams are/were available for the AJP8 and are there any 'easy' ways to find out what is actually fitted?

When I looked to get some replacement cams, I spoke to TVR Power about it, they said they knew of at least 7 (IIRC) different cam profiles that were used, and more after-market ones!
The cam profile shouldn't affect the valve clearance or tuning though.
