Trying to find a map or simple breakdown of them since Labour got in.

Believe that soon 50 or 60 seats will go; mostly Labour, but was wondering how many new seats Labour created since 97 to see if it'll be more or less as before?

Don't think the total number of seats rose very much, if at all, during that time frame.

The problem was keeping up with demographic changes fast enough. The Boundary Commission has been acting on information already several years (i.e. 5-10) old.

The result being that the boundary changes were only reducing slightly the inbuilt bias in the electoral system to Labour. The Tories and the Liberals were forever playing catchup.

The realpolitik has now changed, however.

To throw a quote back at the late Mr Bevan, I think it was, who said in 1945:
"The boot is on the other foot now, and is likely to be so for some time".
