Search still not working!!!! I know have a set of audi TT air vents to fit to the Noble, (brought late one night via flea bay) Had a quick look to see how the old ones come out, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way of getting them out.........help needed biggrin

are you doint the ones under the screen or on front of dash. i did the ones on front of dash which were very easy. could not be bothered to take screen out to do the rest.

i paul its only a screen out if you are doing the top ones , tha face ones you have to pull out the revolving piece then remove the outer casing , i have to admit in the end i got nasty and pried them out with a screwdriver !!!

Simon, yes its was only the fronts I wanted to replace, will have to get a bit more physical!!

can you post the link up mate so I can see which ones you've got ? The vents and heater controls are top of my to-do list

After test driving a car that had had the top 4 replaced with the TT vents I found there was an annoying reflection from them in sunlight and IMHO I don't dislike the standard plastic ones enough to suffer while driving.

I'd just do the side pair and leave the rest thumbup

Yes i took the screen out to do all the vents with no problem.

Changed them about 4 years ago and have never had an issue with reflexion.

I took pictures of the process, if anyone is interested i can email them over.

hi my car is currently having new clam and screen is out but cant remember how many vents are on the top of dash and also will audi s3 /a3 vents fit as have seen 4 advertised for 90 quid and seems a good time to uprade any info thanks

From memory there are four vents on the top of the dash, not sure about the S3/A3 only know the TT's are a close match, got mine for fourty notes

1. Old vent


2. Remove old vent by pulling inner part off


3. Unscrew vent surround


4. Vent removed


5. Resize hole!


6. Keep end on pipe


7. Place surround in vice


8. Cut and attach to new vent


9. New vent


10. Seal old surround on new vent


11. Attache to existing ducting


12. Job done

Thanks Twerlie, how did you get the units out, did you lever them with a screw driver??? Theres me thinking its a 10 mins job rolleyes
