Quick question, is the long wiper arm connecting the motor to the wipers meant to be bent? Have adjusted the nut on the motor but the travel is too long resulting in the wipers hitting the passenger side front clam on each rotation.

Cheers

Interested in the replies to this, when I bought my car I've only got the one wiper attached, its fine for the driver :-)
Passengers have complained though!

Mine is perfectly straight but when in there cleaning things, it is very convenient to lean on it to support yourself which is probably why some have become bent.

On another note, I too have only 1 wiper as I have removed the complete passenger assy. I bought a 24" blade from Halfords which more than covers the required sweep area and would make the passenger side virtually redundant if it were ever refitted.
All you need to do is plug the pipe that feeds the passenger jet bar and simply remove the whole arm.

Cheers. Will start by straightening the bar and if necessary replace the assembly as advised.

On a similar subject, my drivers side wiper arm has broken. The arm itself is fine but the cast bit that fits on the spline has crumbled.

I've looked in the search and its seems the drivers side arm is 'custom bent' so dealer supply only.

Does anyone know what car the basic arm is off ( i.e. before it was custom bent ) as it would be easy to transfer the cast mechanism and spings, and avoid stealer prices.

Noble only I believe, I've had both of them break up at the spindle and ended up replacing them both... on the plus side they are not expensive else I would have moaned like hell smile
