I was thinking along the lines of those D clip thingies you get on motorbike fairings but understand that I may need to put a metal plate behind the number plate to do this.

Any ideas?

Velcro? That's what's holding my 10-CD stacker in place.

The Swiss have quite a good system, it involves metal brakets on both body & plate though.

Two Tenax fasteners are a niftier solution imho
