11's and Donuts.

Ok, just a bit of guidance here, its probably me doing it all wrong but yeah;
How does one get a nice lovely 11 or Donut (or even patrial drift for that matter)?
Ive got a 2002 318i touring (i think here les my problem). Even with the anti-skid switched off, from a standing start, i can get the modest of smallest screech and dont appear to lose any traction. Donuts are a big no-go as there's loads of grip and it wont do anything unless its on loose gravel.
Is it because im in an underpowered estate with 16' wheels and 140k on the clock? Or am i just doing it wrong?

Power, LSD (not the drug, though it may help...) and a severe hatred for your clutch for 11's. How does one get a nice lovely 11 or Donut (or even patrial drift for that matter)?

I would strongly recomend not trying it an a 318i e46. First of all you say that asc is off, but did you hold the button down. On an e46 hold the asc button down for over 6 seconds or so and a secondary light comes on, i beleive this emans everythign is dis-engaged.

Done that, light in the middle comes on and handbrake warning light goes yellow.It will not do 11's though
Sometimes open diff cars can be easier to get to grips with. In the dry you're not going to have enough power for easy sliding, but in the wet find a big empty car park and try launching it hard with a fair bit of steering lock on, like a start from an imaginary T-junction. If it spins a wheel up you'll get a bit of a waggle from the back end but with minimal steering correction required. With an LSD, both rear wheels will spin so the back of the car can go properly sideways and you will need to have a vague idea what to do with the steering wheel.
