Hats off to Danish Petrolheads, when you consider there is a registration tax of 105% on the purchase price for the first dk79000 and 180% on the balance....

Quite. I've just moved back here after 11 years in the UK and much petrolhead fun. For our family wagon over here, I have selected a lovely 2006 Mondeo 2,2 TDCi Titanium X estate with 60k on the clock. A snip, I think we can all agree, at a shade over £20k! Still, at least the income tax is low here. Oh, wait...

70's Opel Kadett, precursor to the Astra. Same car as a Vauxhall Chevette. Quite cool little cars, RWD of course as well.

I work at Harwich Port from where the ferry to Esbjerg sails and there are lots of nice cars going out on it. This week there were a load of Maserati's and a couple of old Lotus's travelling.

I've travelled that route a few times (doing it again in a couple of weeks), and to Gothenburg (when it was running). There's always some interesting machinery driving onboard.
