Airflow Meter

Does anyone know the lucas or rover part numbers for the airflow meter....... or was it modified over a standard rover one.

I have also heard of a Bosch one thast fits vauxahll or saab.... any ideas ??

I want to play about to see if they can assist in my overfueling issues

Land Rover ERR5198. One of a group of similar AFMs made by Lucas with the generic part number '5AM'.

I've used a 5AM off a Jaguar with the 4.0 litre AJ6 engine, Jaguar part number DBC10852. It worked perfectly, although the CO trimmer is blanked off. Apparently the trimmer signal is ignored by the ECU on the catalyst map.

The lucas 5am and 3AM are the only two that plug and play. Others like the Bosch and Lucas 20AM have a different voltage output for given airflow, so wont work without either modifying the voltage output (Thats what I trying to do with some success at the moment) or by rechipping. The nice thing about altering the voltage is you just wind it up or down to alter the mixture in open loop.

If I get from a land rover place they are only about £50-£60 ....... TVR places want £250+
