French car adverts

Renault and Citroen both have TV ads on at the moment which are obviously dubbed into English. I don't recall the specific cars being advertised, but one advert has a maths teacher who says "You have four hours", and the other one is a bloke meeting his girlfriend's father, who says "At least you have a nice car" and he replies "At least you have a nice... daughter!"

I find the fact they are dubbed INCREDIBLY annoying, and I have no idea why...
