I got a bit carried away fitting an induction kit to my mk1 Eunos, and made an extra heat shield to go around it from some ali offcuts. It sits about 1 inch from the main steel heatshield on the exhaust manifold.

Being a moron I got caught up in the "mod moment" and sprayed it black with normal matt black Halfords paint, totally forgetting that it was likely to get pretty hot... banghead

Is normal spraypaint going to be OK or am I likely to incinerate my car the first time it gets hot???

The paint may not like it and may peel off but is not likely to go up in flames and toast your PAJ.

They'll be a smell as well-I've done the same thing with hammerite and it smelt and peeled off. No fire or smoke, but if it was me I would use high to paint. And do the job once
