Getting new number plates made.
After I found my car without them expecting them to be used for bilking/speeding
Have reported them stolen to police & have crime number so will wait & see.
Is it usual for "vanity plates" to be pinched?

If they're fixed in place with phillips head screws, then drill out the screw heads once the plate is fixed in place. May need a cobalt drill, and be careful not to drill off the screw head itself.

Withou looking at what car you have, personally just let them have the plates rather than damage the plinth or bodywork that they are mounted on especially with the quality of trim used on today's cars
