How do I tell what colour my e36 is.

Look on the offside front suspension turret. That's where it was on my old one.

Open the bonnet, stand facing the windscreen: engine in the middle, either side various bits & bobs. Half way up, one on each side, two large inverted "flower pots", where the suspension strut mounts.There should be a couple of stickers on each, one of them will have the colour code & possibly description in German.

you should have a sticker on your strut turret similar to this: http://media.photobucket.com/image/bmw%20e36%20col...

The colour is written in German (in this case): "Estorilblau metallic" = Estoril blue metallic
The colour code is the numbers below the colour name (in this case): 335/5



(on the label shown, Fueller schwarz= with black and sonderlackierung= special paint)
