Ryder Cup Tickets
Discussion
To cut a long story short, I have a ticket for the Sunday, FINAL DAY of the Ryder Cup and unfortunately I have to be in Budapest on that Sunday working so I won't be able to attend.
I've called the ticket hotline and the PGA who both state the ticket is not transferable under any circumstances. Now I appreciate the need to stop touts, but this is a genuine reason, I'm not trying to sell it on, I'm trying to let a fellow friend who lost out in the ballot go and have a good day, at my cost. The demand for tickets was such, that your name went into a draw and if you were lucky, you got a ticket, no draw, no ticket, no watching the Ryder Cup.
Obviously the tickets are in demand, so why are they being such arses? I was told by the chap on the ticket hotline that they have had a case of a man who's brother has died in the US and he is attending his funeral. They still won't give his money back!
Before you ask, the tickets have a photo ot the person attending and they are apparently being uber strict so I can't simply give ot to a friend and hope he gets in.
I have sent an email to both the ticket hotline and the PGA, but to date had no reply, it's not as if I'm asking the day before the event, it's nearly a month away!
Grrrrrrr what a f
king waste, and I find it bloody stupid frankly.....
By the way, Europe......stuff the bloody Yanks
I may not be there to watch, but I'll be in a bar in Hungary wishing you well (after work of course
