Just back from BNG Back home. Thanks to everyone for a great day. It was exellent to have the tour of the factory meet some of the people who worked there & hear their stories, also the events, stalls and general friendly atmosphere, just sorry I couldnt stay till tomorrow.

I just drove back from Germany in my Tuscan and am going up early in the morning while the engines still warm.

I popped up the dinner / dance earlier to install some lighting for the band, will be popping back shortly once all the formalities are out of the way.

Glad you enjoyed the (ex) factory visit. I was one of the tour guides, and I must admit that because my Tamora was on the timeline, I needed a lift from the event site to the factory. Unfortunately the lady who was going to drive me there was ill in the morning, so I was slightly late and indeed was the last guide to get to the factory. So apologies to all for starting the tours slightly late.

Everyone seemed to have a good time there, though. It was great that at least a couple of the small companies visited took new orders - the people there have fantastic skills and a huge amount of experience, and we as the TVR community really need small companies like that to support our P&Js.

My thanks also to everyone I met, almost without exception it was a real pleasure meeting new and old friends. Can't quite decide if it was better than Back Home 2006 - the factory was still open then so there was a different feel to the event - but this weekend was absolutely fantastic.

I also have to say that for me the weekend was about paying tribute to the Great Man, PW. I spent three evenings last week cleaning and polishing the Tamora specifically to make sure that my P&J that was built under Peter's watch was as immaculate as I could get her. All weekend I had an A3 picture of Peter in the back of the car because for me that was was the event was about. He must have been looking down on me favourably as my Tamora won the best Tamora/T350 - I'd never won a first before, so it was completely unexpected, but the award is dedicated to Peter. RIP Great Man. clap

Many thanks for that great gesture I know the band appreciated it and I'm pleased to have met you and had a chat on your way to the rolling road (Nice DB7 by the way)

Got back to Fareham at 9pm last night having stopped by the Evo triangle on the way back. Mersey tunnel was pretty mad too! Really good event, great turnout and really enjoyed the factory tour. Inadvertently became part of the Saturday night parade along the seafront too! Great weekend, thanks to all who organised it.

I met quite a few people on Sunday, my problem now is to ensure I have the correct Real Name / Forum User Name and Face together :-)

I'm going to have to produce a spreadsheet to keep track ;-)

If the Dinner / Dance event is held next year then expect a far better lighting install, this year was short notice and it was all I could squeeze into the back of the car.

Had a nice White TVR follow me home as they headed out of town towards the M55... Whoever you were I was in front in the Aston GT, came in front at the River Wyre Round-a-Bout ;-)

I think it was you guys who I chatted to after helping you park on Sunday afternoon? Great to meet you, hope you had a safe journey back to Scotland.
