'90 VW Caddy MK1
Discussion
Just thought i'd start a build/resto/fix article for my caddy. Not long turned 17 and have my driving test next week, no real worries about not passing but there's always a chance of failing!
But anyway, my caddy was bought as pictured, and in light of insurance prices, has been up on the classifieds on here before. But now i've gotten myself a decent quote which means I can keep it. Dad has his own paint/bodywork business and some mechanical experience. So once i've (hopefully) passed the caddy will be going in for some work. A full engine out going over, as under the bonnet remains white from the previous owner. The whole car is getting it's current signal orange paintwork replaced by "Arancio Atlas" (Lamborghini orange to you and me) Engine having a good going over and getting everything working properly.
This is how it looks at the moment and will be posting more pics once the job has begun.
P.S: Anyone know what my wheels are called? I have no idea and haven't seen another set about...

Nice base to start on, bodywork looks in good condition as it is now.
Are you planning to just respray it or customising the interior aswell, also are you going to be performing engine swap or try increase the power of the standard engine?

As i'm only 17, i'm not looking to increase my insurance quote, although I do have some serious plans for modifying the engine or even a swap once funds/raping insurance companies allow. Are you planning to just respray it or customising the interior aswell, also are you going to be performing engine swap or try increase the power of the standard engine?
