metallic squeaking from rear diff

iv bought new bushes that still need to be changed but read on hear about upper rear diff bush mount breaking .... how would i know before i take diff out? I do have a metallic squeak that is getting louder and louder.. bumpy roads and if u bounce the rear suspension. does it sound like just the diff bushes

I have a similar sound but my diff bushes have been changed, I have been told it could be the anti-rollbar bushes that just need a little Lube on them.
Problem I have is than when it's nice I want to be out in it and when it's bad weather I'll get wet so can't be a***d at the moment.

i run in all weather and when wet it doesnt squeak. did lube the torsion bar drop link bushes as they where very dry but no lucke...

There is a very heavy "thunk" if the mount is broken, where the diff is laying against the chassis, you will know alright!

Another source of squeak from the rear is the bolts from the ARB bracket touching the springs. The clearance can be very tight. Can be checked by just looking through the spokes of the road wheels with a torch, there will be witness marks on the springs. Worth a look. Fix is to tighten the offending bolts.
