A friend told me that a local chap in Poole was opening his garden for charity yesterday. What of it you may think. His garden has a 850 ft long 5 inch guage railway!. It has a full signalling system, main station, halt station, engine shed and club house. Four engines were running, both steam and diesel locos were running. You even got tickets that were specially made for the railway.
Not only does he have this one room in his house (which is larger than the ground floor of our house!) contains a 00 guage layout. He also has a 26ft steam launch, a ride on model steam lorry and traction engine and an 07 plate Lykamobile steam car!

Seeing things like that make me wonder why something similar isn't used as hop/hop off urban transport. I like trams but this is much cheaper.
