Hey Dest...
It's a ovely car, and was tempted buying it a few months back !
Re the Tials they are very good value but are not well tried here in the UK. There's a pair being fitted to an RS4 at the moment, so we'll see for ourselves (with dyno plots etc) how they stack up against other turbo configurations (K04 hybrids, Loba 530, RS6, etc etc). Looking forward to it.

A B5 RS4 is the only car I will replace this with (which wont be for a few years yet!)
Shame you mentioned the last part...!There's a couple of K04 cars I'm looking at (seeing as you're gonna keep that one!) - Carpy and Jaytee, but we'll see what's available if/when mine sells!

Out of interest (not having a pop)
Would it not have been cheaper to get an RS4 instead of doing the modding?
Genuine question, not being sarcastic
Probably but I have the impression that the OP bought the car ready modded, so therefore probably a lot cheaper than an RS4, which still command very strong money.Would it not have been cheaper to get an RS4 instead of doing the modding?

What's the fuel cost like on the 400bhp map, OP?
Yes, if you are the person doing the modding then you could buy an RS4 for the same sort of money as buying the S4 and then modding it to this spec.
BUT, some people dont want an Avant, and also you dont need to have all the money in a lump sum!
For me, with the market as it is, there are some crazy bargains to be had.
I wanted another S4, and would of done all the mods that are on this car, which would of cost me £15k roughly (RS4 money), but I paid £8k for this as it is. Do the maths
Yes, I know people come out with the "built not bought" crap, but for me it was the perfect option.
Ive modded cars from standard to high spec for the last 10 years, so now someone else can foot the bill lol
MPG wise, on the 400bhp map if you drive like a saint you can get 25mpg
