Backdoor/Subseven trojans
Discussion
I've done a search and the topic has been mentioned, however, since installing Norton, I've had loads of security threats from hackers using the Backdoor/Subseven trojan horse.
Now, is this a program that is already on my pc that someone is trying to access, or is it a program they are sending in order to access my pc?
If its already on my pc, where is it and how do I get rid of it?

Norton should stop it from running - though it is worth checking and doing a full scan of your computer first. There is a big discussion as to the validity of such "remote control" applications / trojans and it is likely that they are just probing you. However, to make sure run a personal firewall on your computer - for the sake of ease of administration and cost, the Norton one is fine. Or if you have XP turn on the in-built one. This will prevent all accesses to anyway....
Or alternatively you already have Norton Personal Firewall installed and therefore dont need to worry...

It's the Norton personal firewall thats giving me the pop-up warning.
The Norton AV shows my pc to be virus free and my antivirus lists are updated automatically.
I was just wondering if the trojan is hidden away somewhere where the AV wont spot it or if I did have the Trojan and someone is trying to use it again.
