Hi,
Can anyone help me please as I have a really wierd problem.
I've just driven back from Swansea to Buckinghamshire stopping at Leigh Delamer services on the way. Got home, parked on the driveway, got out of my side of the car, closed the door and walked over to the passenger side to get my bags out, pressedd the button under the mirror, nothing.
Thought maybe I'd locked the car by accident but when I pressed the key, the indicators flashed four times to show I'd just locked the car.
I've tried locking and unlocking the car several times and the lights flash to indicated status but the car will not open. There is no noise from the mechanisms to indicate that either the doors are trying to open or the boot.
It would be laughable if it wasn't for the fact that:
1 They are not going to believe me that the car has broken down again even if I could phone them tomorrow cos
2 The phones in the car
3 All my bank/credit cards are in the car too so I have no money on me and can't go to the bank cos I have no cards!
If anyone can help, I will be so gratefull.
Thanks.
Julie

stop being so anal,if a theif wanted a phone, bag or whatever an owner had on show in the car im sure they would`nt fk about using the long way round.
thers a lot easier and quicker wayS in, besides this dos`nt get you around the imobaliser so the car couldnt be taken.
cant see what all the fuss is about, its quite common knowlage anyway.

Maybe you should all be looking and crying to the design and manifacturer of said product/s, it would be so easy to rectify being locked out same as the flat baterys Tvr`s` suffer in general.
Get to the sorce of the problems

Although it takes a Russian to advance tvrs basic problems ( nichola did more for tvr in 1 year than trever did in 10). no wonder the British car industry is Dead
As the Germans say VORSPRUNGDORKTECHNIC and hey they should know

These cars are only a starting point,a glorified kit car here to be evolved,as some do.
You should all be asking HOW CAN WE STOP THIS EMBARASING INCONVENIENT DESTRESSING EXPENSIVE HAREDITORY PROBLEM? along with the niggles at the back of your mind will it start? will it break down? will it catch fire? will it self destruct will it get me there and then back? how important is my jurney...
FAR TO MANY "MY CARS BROKEN POSTS" time you all started looking for the fixes

Most asked TVR question??? "So which breakdown company do you use? "
Second: Do you want a push?

My mums SCODA (not an issue in 5 years) is on a far superior level and we know all those jokes now don`t we?

Julie,
Once you have gained access to car interior....and assuming you have a Mk.1 Tuscan, check the shelf adjacent to the instrument pod. I had a very similar issue with my car, circumstances almost identical, and found my stack of CD's pushing on the 'lock yourself in button' next to the 'port' for the immobiliser cancel tag with the key.

I posted on the Tuscan forum - had me scratching my head for a few days. Perhaps a bump as you went onto your drive caused something (purse?) to make contact with the button??

Good luck.Nick

You have a real way with words don't you- i had fun reading your post and counting the number of languages that you have trouble spelling in. I'll list them, just to be anal.

1. English- your native tongue? Possibly not..
2. German- presumably you meant Vorsprung durch Technik?
3. Russian- that would be Nikolai you are looking for
4. Czech- Skoda, not Scoda

I'm not entirely sure how you can compare Smolenski and the late great Trevor Wilkinson? One started the brand that 1000's know and love today, the other drove it into the ground. One had a passion for the marque, the other had a passion for pi**ing his Daddy's money up the wall. One is sorely missed and remembered with the great respect of many, the other not respected or liked very much at all.

Go away.

rooty TVR was dead before it went to daddys boy as you put it, it is people like you with your attitude that sank it ages before.typical British attitude.
THE tuscan stood still for years with all its stupid faults,ok development never progressed since the first ones rolled..same faults year in year out.
If it was sutch a good brand why did the it ever get in to trouble and need to be sold??
Under Russian command look at all the changes,

STEERING
SUSPENTION
2 SHOTS AT ELECTRICKS
AERODYNAMICS
STYLING (MINOR)
ENGINE.

ALL in 2 years.
What was developed in 10 years by the brits ????? Yeah fk all.

Tell me Michola stelefski did fk all to save the brand
He gave it all he could while certain knobs couldnt see it was doomed years before, and just sat back and critisised him for it.
OK verry unfortunatley a lot of skilled people who worked there lost a lot in the process, thakfully some are still with us today,
Im sure N.S. didnt want it that way or to loose every thing he put in to a brand HE BELEIVED SO MUTCH IN , only idiots would think different
People like you are the reason it is struggeling not N.S.
but like any death you just have to try and place blame..Try looking in the mirror
WHO KILLED DIANA? her own fans and popularity?

Are you realy so fking blind?

The person with +ve feed back reguards the locked out issue THANK YOU, THE BRAND NEEDS YOU AND LIKE MINDED PEOPLE.
Long live TVR the brand needs people to take it forward as the true belivers are trying hard to do.
p.s. its not my English its the computers fault, it posted this not me.

For someone who apparently has the money to buy and run some of the cars you say you have, your spelling and forum etiquette is something to be desired!

My money is on the fact that you must be some form of low life drug dealer.

Seems to me that you have been using too much of your own produce!
