Le Mans for dummies?
Discussion
From reading across the forum Le Mans seems to attract quite a large crowd, and it sounds like it's quite an experience.
I don't really know what the whole things about though.
If you were to explain to someone who didn't have a clue about the event, what would you say? I'm talking mainly about the driving, camping, partying(?) what all goes on?
Do yous go over in groups, or on your own etc?
It sounds like it would be great to do!

Best description i've ever heard is its like Glastonbury for car nuts.
I'd tend to agree as well.
Yep, its is a real festival atmosphere, but the focus is on fast noisy cars rather than tI'd tend to agree as well.
ts in skinny jeans warbling on stage.Really good crowd, everyone is friendly (lets not start the mad Friday debate here) and it is a real laugh - life just seems better at Le Mans
Conor, I'd personally recommend looking at someone like Team Langoustine for a package option
Not the cheapest way to do it, but trust me .... well well worth it

had my first trip last year, and hoping to go next, it's a real blast....
I remember getting there friday lunchtime, watching "Mad Friday" (a bunch of people doing burnouts / getting blasted by water guns outside the circuit) deciding to have an early night as I wanted to stay up for the full 24 hours, but the party did not stop just around the corner from us till 4am Saturday!
By the end of the weekend, I was shattered and stank (no showers) but WHAT a weekend!!!!!!

On their site they have a 30mtr pitch, is this a 5m x 6m pitch? Which, in theory, you'd get say two cars and one tent?
Anyone care to give any pointers on what i'd need from their site?
Or am I best to call them?
Probably answered my own question there
