I tried a search but, couldn't find another thread so, I started this one.

I just saw this on Channel 4 news.

I bet he gets away with it, like they always do.

There's already another thread running in SP&L, and no he hasn't, as they don't usually.

I do believe he is facing the sack, at least that's what I read on yahoo news a moment ago.

Maybe you should read the link you posted, it says he's been found guilty and faces up to six months in prison.

Yes I know but, what I meant is he will more than likely not get anything near the supposed 6 months sentence. Anyway since there is another thread just close this one.

I've highlighted the part I wrote that you missed.

The Brazilian Electrician springs to mind also. Do you really want me to go and research the last 20 years of the BIB getting away with all sorts on the job?

I'm sure I could also come up with some more, I could also come up with some showing Police officers who have lost their jobs/been jailed etc to show that your assertion that "I bet he gets away with it, like they always do." is wrong.

Ok, let's be realistic here.

Historically, officers have gotten away with lots they should not have done. So have judges and politicians. However, now officers are subject to a far more rigorous scrutiny BUT judges and politicians still don't seem to be (save for the press!).

As has already been noted, the officer is likely to lose his job and pension etc..
