Hi DH

Click the watch just off the roundabout stop as you cross the lines at cooden.
Careful though if your thinking of trying it in your Porsche, it will get VERY airborne passed the house on the left on the hill!

Not sure what my average speed etc was, hit a ton in places.

With all due respect, I joined PH to talk to like minded driving enthusiasts and not to be lectured by a cantankerous old tt.

Then posting your time to traverse along a "dangerous"section of public road (your very own description) is probably not your best start on here. How about taking it to Barry Boys perhaps, they may well be impressed. This forum is full of driving enthusiasts, but I suspect you won't find many who are like minded. You're also possibly aware that it is a public forum, therefore, if you do want to post your own willy waving, then you'll have to put up with the p*sstaking retorts from COTs like myself.

P.S. Which car did you set the time in, was it the Nissan Almera 1.4 saloon(girlfriend's car) as you put it?

I'm starting to enjoy thissmile

Errrm. PHers. For an independent view use StreetView to navigate along Herbrand Walk, Bexhill on Sea and ask yourself would you hit a ton down it. Start at Cooden Beach rail station and head over to the Little Chef near the A27/ A259 roundabout.

What with the domestic driveways opening onto it and the beach and the beach huts and the caravan park and the largely crappy and potholed road surface and the pub entrance and...

That's not a rally stage it's a public road.

Your absolutely right. I feel like a right idiot, I'm pretty embarrassed to be honest. I failed to see just how stupid it is.

Enjoy your driving, but do it safely, primarily for other road users and lastly for yourself.A lot of people may exceed the speed limit on occasions, most would not choose to admit it on a public forum in detail, but above all it is done at a time and in a place where the risk is minimised.Progressive road driving takes an immense amount of observation, concentration, education, and IMHO mostly self control.Get it right and it is hugely satsifying, get it wrong and it can be life changing.

Wolfy, I appreciate your PM, that takes some maturity.Stick around, and enjoy the forum.

Welcome to PH proper! COT!
