That 7 litre Sag........

After watching the LS7 Sag perform at BNG along the prom yesterday. I can only wish that this was the car TVR should have produced or at least offered.

It is one hell of a car, it sounds purposeful without being brash and yet can lay a huge pair of 11's down the road and vanish at warp speed. The figures from yesterday....quarter mile in 11.77 and terminal speed of 127MPH. I'm sure it would have been quicker if the prom surface was tarmac rather than concrete.

The car is a credit to it's owner and his eye for detail and meticulous preparation by Topcats Racing who did the conversion.

Reading about the car in Sprint was a damn good read, but seeing the car strut it's stuff so effortlessly yesterday put it all into perspective.

I want that car!!!!

That start surface was fairly poor and the 64 foot times could have been at least 3 or 4 tenths quicker on a decent surface. That Sag could run into the 10's at a drag strip.

I reckon about 10.8 @ 135 would be on the cards

I run it at a minimum of 550BHP - this depends on how it is mapped. Full BHP figures will be in a magazine coming to you soon - until then we are keeping bhp to ourselves so the old map screen print will not help.

It will run 10's easy there is no doubt in my mind.

not just the first 64 ft that was a slippy surface!

It felt like driving on marbles for the first half of the course

10's are almost impossible on road tyres and two wheel drive, my best 11.19/129.9 on treble 888's was with a 1.88 60ft. Drag radials should see a 60ft closer to 1.5, but something might SNAP!! as i have found out..

you would only need a 50 shot to give the required hike in torque.
I wouldnt go slicks on the drag strip tho... too much grip is a bad thing.

Nice calculation but with that it would mean I would only make 5 tenths from a proper surface which can not be right?

As John said it was slippy for at least half of the course and very bumpy. I was wheel spinning past 100MPH and the calc also does not take into account torque or does this not matter?

I will post a vid from the car at some stage - I must have travelled a fair distance sideways.
