Does anyone know of any Minimoto hire centres in the South East? I'm trying to organise something with a few friends where we can turn up pay our money and have a organised race on their bikes.

I'd be up for that, but trying to get my 6'5", 18 stone bulk on a minimoto may be more fun for the spectators than for my knees....

PS I've got a mate whose kids are into MM, so I'll ask him tonight.

Fergus, leave it to the kids mate, or at least the short arses

You really need flexible ankles and knees to corner properly.

I took these pics at the NEC last year when the kids mixed it up with the oldies.

There's an indoor track in Crawley (the centre is called "karting for fun") I've seen mini-motos in their garage but I don't know what they do

Let me know when you organise something, any chance of a go ??

If you do go, remember to wear decent protective gear. Last time I went MM, I highsided (yeah, I know, but I got carried away, lol) and landed my knee on the chain which resulted in a ruined pair of jeans and a messy knee. Doh!

I'd definatly be up for a bit of mini moto fun. Last time was ages ago but what a hoot! Six bikes + six mates= total carnage! Elbows were flying, people getting punted off it was great! Oh and i lost my brakes and had to stuff the bike into the bales (after i'd finish the race of course!).

Don't be too sure. I'm 6'6 and 15 stone and have no problem (well that's a bit of a lie, my ankles hurt after a few sessions). You may want to consider going to a place with midi and maxi motos. Same spec engines etc, just a bit more room. Mini's handle the best though!
