Since the "garage door openers" are getting a lot more common and on the the assumption that the Talivans don't often have a traffic car 100 yrds up the road to pull the vehicle over. If you go through a trap and give out an error message what options do the plod have ? I assume they could pay a house call but for this offence do they have a right of access to the garage without a warrent (I seem to remember some change in the law last year that says they might) are they likely to get a warrent ? or are they likely to just turn up on the hope you'll let them in, be told to leave, and thus give you chance to get the screwdrivers out? The other option is that they could flag the car and pull it when you're on the road, but what grounds would they have for the pull ?

Having spoken to two of the Yeovil safety team on this very subject yesterday, I got the impression they were clocking so many others that they really did'nt care. Though they did say they thought it was illegal (he was'nt sure how though)

They said every now & then they got a misread so it was not unusual, however they said the jammers were very obvious in the way the LT1 "just gave up" according to them.
