why no 335d convertible..?

Hi all, just wondering why BMW never produced the 3 series cab with the twin turbo diesel block? Im sure it would have been a good seller...i would have had one for sure! perhaps too noisy?!

My guess is demand!

However good BMW diesels are they still don't sound as good as a petrol car...especially in a soft top.

Audi do it with their cab..

Also, who the hell was the 1 series hatch never sold with the 335 engine, you can only buy the ghey coupe
