I have never put a CV on a website and never would.
Almost all jobs in my industry sector end up on jobserve and it's a simple matter of checking occaisionally and when I see something I like, phoning the agent and findout out if they are just phishing or not. Once I have a jobspec then I will tailor a CV to the role.

JobSite is still a good site to use...just I wouldnt put your CV up on it, just use it for searching only.
this all depends on what sector your in.
EG, im a CNC programmer and im constantly looking for new work as usually my contracts are for 3 to 6 months at best. I have a PAYG mobile which i lkee with me where ever i go, by that i mean what ever hotel or place, and its constantly left on to recieve voice mails or texts. Generally, in my sector, by the time a job hits a website, its too late, as alot of jobs are sort through word of mouth or by agents calling ppl they know who can do they job directly.
So, you could creat a hotmail account set up specificly for this, you could also get a free payg sim from O2 for this. all it takes is a little bit of fore thought and finding work doesnt invade your email or mobile for the rest of your life. Anyone who says othwise is not in the know and therefore hardly worth listening too.
im in the Netherlands as we speak, i only finished my contract yesterday and lined up my new job about 2 hrs ago to start friday.
all comes down to the fact how much you want a job at the end of the day.
