Was reversing into a narrow alleyway that slopes upwards yesterday, with wheelie bins on one side, and a brick wall on the other. A man stood there watching me do it, until I stopped, then walked off.
There was a laser printer by the wheelie bins, which I could only see once the rear was sufficiently up the slope or once I made a 50cm long gash in the bodywork, courtesy of that printer...
Now I know the same would have happened wether the man have been standing there or not, but a tap on the boot or a wave for me to stop would have been oh so appreciated and well... a human thing to do, non?
I always try to help out people reversing into tricky spaces when the opportunity arrives and would most defintely try to stop someone doing damage...
Anyway, my fault completely, but thanks for your help mate, hope your garage is on fire and no passer-by tells you...

For a start, just because someone is giving you directions it doesn't mean that you close your eyes. Do you follow sat nav blindly and them sue Garmin when you drive into a river? Long story short, flashed a car coming towards me as I had just been turned around from a massive accident where police were setting up blocking the road off. The car slowed down as we got alongside each other, wound down windows, I was about to explain when I got a tirade of abuse from teh other driver along the lines of "Flash me again you c**t and I will f**king kill you" etc etc.
Middle aged woman having trouble parrellel parking in a space, I asked her if she wanted me to guide her into the space, she told me to f**k off, apparently because she knows how to drive, and doesn't need some "a
hole telling her what to do"
Now admittedly, living near Bracknell doesn't help avoiding these kind of people, but its just not worth my time now. However I certainly would not just stand there and watch the OP run into something just for the hell of it, that's just wierd...

Never been abused by people I offer help with parking though. I had my offer politely declined, sure, but not abused. And I chip in a lot.

Saw a girl struggling to get out of a space in a carpark some dick had parked behind her and very closely blocked her in.
I could have got in and done it in 1 go, not boasting, it wasn't difficult, but she didn't have power steering and was slightly a slope, so was guiding her back and then forwards and so on until she was a few inches away from his bumper but getting past it.
The cock was stood a little distance away just watching.

OT shame the spectators in these situations don't help out and just stand and watch it happen.Accidents happen but can easly be avoided.
