US travel - ESTA Applications

Apologies if this is a repost but if anyone is going to the US in the next two years, the cost of the Electronic Visa Waiver program is now going to be charged $14 per app, when it was free. The charge is to be applied from 8th Sept 2010.
No flight, travel date or hotel details need to be entered at this time.

Just done ours. Approved in 0.5 seconds!

No plans on going in the next 2 years but I filled out the forms a couple of weeks ago, just in case! Me and daughter were approved right away, mrs wasn't but when I checked a day later she had been cleared

I've just done my second one as the first one expired last month... only valid for 2 years so I guess next time we'll all have to pay!

I did mine a few weeks back but expires in June 2011, wheres this 2 year malarky come from?

It's valid for 2 years or until your passport expires whichever is soonest.

I knew there was something else I was going to do last week! Looks like i'll have to pay once my current one expires.
