Unplug it. Wait for a minute, then plug it back in again.

Hold down the power button until it beeps a couple times. My Sky+ box used to freeze on a regular basis, and that always seemed to do the trick. Not sure if it was a Thomson, but whatever it was it was rubbish and made it that much easier to ditch Sky.

Try switching off the power for two minutes.....

If that doesn't work press the SKY button on the top of your sky remote

(Make sure the batteries are OK)

all of the above tried

now trying this (did a google search)

1. Turn off the box at the mains.

2. Hold down the left and right buttons on the box.

3. Turn the power back on whilst holding the above buttons down.

4. Now press and release the standby button on the box and keep holding those left and right buttons.

5. The green record circle of lights should now be flashing.

6. Let go of the left and right buttons and press select.

7. The green record circle of lights should now start circling anti-clockwise.

8. After a few seconds the Sky+ box should go completely dead.

9. After a few more seconds the red standby light should come back on. Press it and you should automatically go to channel 998 and everything is back to normal.
