Can a GT3 get on euro tunnel without ripping front off?
Discussion
I am off to Spa with RMA at the end of the month taking my 997 GT3 Gen 1. I don't have a lift kit and am wondering if I can get it on the eurotunnel without ripping the splitter off? I assume the upper deck is best avoided - any other suggestions?
I see plenty of other GT3s + RS going that way but given a few scrapes I have had on minor gradient changes I am wondering about the ramp onto the bridge, speed humps, lump you go over to get on the train carriage and the side rails in the carriage!

The stewards or whatever they're called are trained to put low-clearance cars on the lower level. If they try to put you on the upper level, just gesture or have a word and they'll put you below.
You won't have a problem on the actual ramps up from the piers, but take them at an angle.
Also, each pier is slightly different. With a straight-on approach, you'll clear some but scrape on others.
All together, it's not a problem for a GT3 with stock ride height, so long as you use an angle of attack.

If you do make it to Spa might be best to stay in the car!

My heavily lowered 996 Turbo does scrape. Its only the front plastic splitter so nothing to worry about. Its always rubbing on something. Sounds ALOT worse than it is!
The train people are really helpful and good at spotting low cars in my experience.
