Considering going to this on the Sunday, anybody else going or been before?

If so, what's it like? worth going to?

I went last year and I would say it is worth the fee/donation.

I would have went this weekend if I wasn't working.

It's a brilliant weekend . Tend to go to most of these events. Keepan eye out for an orange Opel manta , my mates dads. It is ridiculously clean smile

Sadly I can't go this weekend due to work aswell.

But if you decide to go you will be glad you did. Take plenty of pics and get them up here biggrin

I've gone along the last two years and planning to go again this Sunday.

Last year was much improved over the first year so I'm hoping for another improvement this year - weather was cracking last year also.

Im going along probably on the sunday. The only thing I will say is remember to take some paracetamol with you as the fumes in the pits will give you a sore head cloud9

The Vulcan will be executing a fly past on the Sunday as part of the weekend's sport. Big entry of cars from 1906-1976 and a few old bikes trying the hill for the first time.

Practice on Saturday (showers expected) with hopefully dry timed runs Sunday. Classic car show in attendance both days.

What a stupid website, doesn't give you the bloody address anywhere!

Anyone got a post code for me? Going to be in Edinburgh in the morning so will head over for lunchtime and see what's going on.

Was a great day last year and with the track a little extended this year viewing should be better.

I'll pop along in the Spitty so should get parked along the driveway where the direct the old stuff.

OK you twisted my arm..

Going to head up with my buddy in his GT4 tomorrow, no other bugger wants to come because it's classics!

Looking forward to it, hopefully not too much rain.

What other events like this are on throughout the year? I'm well up for small hillclimbs and rallies etc.

Doune Hillclimb is good and runs a couple of times each year - might be one on soonish (guess).

Monklands Sporting Car Club runs hill climbs at Forrestburn twice a year too.

Doune is excellent. Although I've been at events at Forrestburn have not been to a Hillclimb there yet but looks promising.

Thanks for highlighting this. I would have went to Bo'ness HC today if I could. No plans next Sunday so I will go for a drive. Is it easy to find?

It's about 10 mins north of Stirling. Follow Crianlaich signs from Stirling. Hillclimb about a mile North of Doune on right. You won't miss it as you'll see all the cars parked up.

It's same site as the former Doune Motor Museum.
