Having just got my car back tonight after its crash repairs, my joy was somewhat tempered by the fact that it wouldn't start when I got in it.

Anyhow, I'm 99% certain that it's the immobiliser that's at fault as I've had problems with it before. The little LED keeps coming to life and dying again, and I managed to start the car for long enough to drive it into the garage. When I turned the engine off and then tried starting it again, the immobiliser died cutting the starter motor off in mid spin.

So, I need to find a mobile auto-electrician to come out and fit a new immobiliser for me tomorrow. I was therefore wondering if anyone can recommend a mobile fitter in the Reading/Wokingham/Bracknell area?

Cheers

I spoke to the V8 Centre and they didn't have a mobile service, but I eventually found someone else to do it for me.

However, I've now been left with a different problem...

No problem - I appreciated the recommendation anyway. They may well not have wanted to come all the way out to me anyway as it's quite a trek from High Wycombe to Finchampstead - I know because I'm doing it several times a week ATM and will be back there tomorrow.

I'm not normally in HW on Fridays as I'm here doing work for Hyundai and their Project Manager doesn't work on Fridays, so I tend to be here for 2 or 3 days at the beginning of the week. Having said that, I'm actually coming to the end of my run of time here fairly soon anyway.

However, Fridays do happen occasionally, so I'll be sure to give you a shout if I'm around then.
