Anyone got a clue what a "2 year old" Coiler might be worth? There's one for sale on the office noticeboard for £500 - worth a punt at that?

looks like a bit of a bargain, they retailed for well over double that so its not certainly over priced by any stretch of the imagination.

Having made some enquiries, it would appear to be a 2004 model, owned for 2 years by the current keeper. Still looking like a bargain?...

not really......but its pretty much down to upgrades, shock servicing, type of bike (TT bikes can retain value more than MTBs for example) etc etc.

i would say that 1/3 of the rrp for a stock 8 year old downhill bike is overpriced but it depends how much you want it and how often stuff like that comes on the market. if you intend to get a lot of use from it then its probably just about worth it but to run smoothly it will need a fork and shock service at £75 each if they havent been done recently... offer £400 cash in nice new twenties and i'll bet its yours....

Thanks. I was thinking along similar lines - needed it confirming.
