Facelift...worth it?

The car that is...not me!

Looking at a RR Vogue 3.0l td6 and believe the facelift came in on 54/05 cars? Can anybody pls tell me the benefits of the facelift...worth the extra cash?

Also any issues i should be aware of with this model?

There were several facelifts / tweaks, so it bears being aware of them when hunting.

Late 05/06 cars had small interior facelift - they got the jag touchscreen nav / bluetooth / venturecam, but old centre console and old exterior.

06- cars had full facelift, with the above plus the new exterior.

07ish cars then were full facelift with the above plus terrain response system from the Disco3 and repositioned centre console etc....


I had a pre-facelift 05 car which was perfect: the market hated it as it was the "old" one, yet it had touchscreen nav / bt / venture cam and at the time was a good 3-4k less than a full 06 facelift car.... perfect. Personally I'd aim for that as your minimum.

Ok all good to know thks vm! I may have just missed a 2005 car which had touchscreen nav and rear camera, also had the facelift grill? now looking at a 2004 car which has none of that...but im in no rush, budget around 20k

Any common problems with these models i should look out for? Engine or otherwise?

V8s pretty much bullet proof, TD6 is noisy, slow and prone to going bang periodically. Other than that, aim for a Vogue, and check all the buttons work (which will take a while as there are one or two of them!)

Some owners stuck facelifted fronts on older cars, so it is possible that's what you came across. I sold my 05 Rangie for 18k over a year ago, so there should be plenty to choose from around 20k.
