Hi

I'm planning to replace the plastic steering column bush with the later bearing shortly. Got all the parts ready but have one question. Which way round does the housing go.

With the bearing face exposed into the wheel arch?
or
with the bearing face exposed into the footwell?

The latter seems the most logical so it is protected from the elements but the description of fitting it on the West Yorks TVRCC site shows the bearing facing out in to the wheel arch.

Would there be a problem fitting it the other way around?

Thanks

Colin
