Hi all.

As the title says really.
In the next month or two i am selling my 1 year old Focus RS and wanting to buy a Z4MC.

It will have to be as late a model as possible. Low mileage. Preferably 1 owner. MINT CONDITION.
And as many optional extras as possible too. Did i mention MINT CONDITION.

I would love a white one
Then it would be red
Interlagos blue next.

Not really interested in any other colours i dont think.

I have been looking on the classified section for a while now and none of the current ones are taking my fancy.
So what i am really asking is, are any of you contemplating getting rid soon.

The reason for this change is that i am really missing rwd. And my best mate is on his second one now and i love them.

Any help greatly appreciated.

With those requirements, I think what you actually want is a new car. Unfortunately they don't make them any more, so if you want a used one you'll have to compromise, that's one of the reasons that new cars cost more money. Mine's just turned 3 years old and still under 19k miles but I wouldn't call it concourse. And it's black. And not for sale.

My old Imola red, fully loaded Z4MC is still up at Barons of Farnborough. New engine from BMW 6000 miles ago.

You should find one no problem. Nice choice of colours too.

The original engine had a manufacturing fault which meant it was eating camshafts. I traded it on on an M6 convertible they had there.

Hi milu

Quite like the sepang bronze colour after looking at a couple of pics.
Bit of a marmite colour but i like it.
Does it have nav?
And what colour interior is it? And facia ie, carbon, alu or piano gloss.

Thanks.

No nav I'm afraid
Champagne upgrade nappa leather
Carbon leather dash
Heated seats
Sun protection glass
As I say , not loaded but it is a sports car!!
Main thing is it's like new and original warranty till next spring.

Not thinking of selling mine but my advice to you is to purchase one with as many options as possible.

Spec seems to sell. People say the nav is rubbish however ones with Nav are easier to sell.

...and my old Imola Red Z4MC is still for sale at Eastern BMW. Ex Mngt car (so fully loaded) 1 owner (me) and 13k miles.

If you ask for Grant, he'll do you a deal to get it off his showroom floor, I'm sure.

Mines a second car used at the wknds and wrapped up in the winter months. It's done 5.5k and is mint inside and out and loaded with extra's. I wouldn't let it go for less than 25k. Cost new was 47k..

LOL, surely no-one actually paid £47k though?

I bought mine at 3 months old with 200 miles on the clock. A colleague at work paid full price, but his car was pretty basic spec. That's where I saw the silver grey coupe and had to have one.. Traded my M3 in for it.. No regrets.

Some did.

There were several threads on here three years back with folk bemoaning they'd lost £10k+ in 3 months.

Here's a typical quote:

Am i the only one stupid enought o have paid near list price when these first started to appear.

Back then I had to wait months for the bloody thing to turn up and now you can get them for such a discount - I wouldnt mind, but i'll never convince the Mrs to spend so much on a car again!

Mine had an invoice price (for the original owner of course) of just under £48k due to the individual colour and invividual extended champagne leather and the level of optional extras they added.
Then they immediately went and spent £3k on CSL wheels & tyres for a total of £51k.

Don't forget that some may have paid more due if they didn't pay cash, due to CC or finance charges. I believe mine was traded in at less than half of it's invoice price less than 2 years later.

Have you tried a BMW dealer. I have been amazed at the deals I got on the last 2 PX deals. I was given near private price for my old car and about 10% off the sticker price on the car which was already just over private sale price.
