Great discovery docu on it it's an hour long and has in depth detail of the construction of all parts of the car.
Amazing - well for a car nut like me who's interested in engineering.
One speed fact is at top speed 253mph (limited it could do 260+mph but stability concerns have resulted in this restriction) it uses 3mpg and empties it's 24gallon tank in 12minutes or 48miles!!!
The other thing as we know bhp is 1001 however it's rate of deceleration is far faster than it's acceleration and would require 4000bhp to do the equivalent.
Tyres for a normal car take 30seconds to make all by machine. Veyron at least one hour all by hand and lazer they are also safe up to 280mph.
Crash cell is 4times stronger than the strongest road production car.
So much titanium used in it's construction and carbon fibre.
Every veyron is road tested for 500km most at full speed to ensure that all rattles or niggles are picked up and resolved.
Also once constructed it's put on a rolling road testing gear box
engine when built is fully bench tested every single one produced.
Finish it off it goes into a special room for two solid days of high polishing by hand to get the perfect finish any less time isn't perfection.
Full speed the turbos suck in more air in one second than a fully grown man uses in 4 days

Is it just me or did the whole setup around the Veyron seem very cold to me? It came across as a very extreme bespoke TT just another VAG product, maybe its because I watched the programme straight after the doc on Maranello (for the 2nd time) but other than the stats the Veyron just dosent seem special enough to me. As a petrolhead it still sends a tingle up the spine just imagining what it must be like to floor the gas pedal in such a beast tho and some parts did literally make me LOL like the early test mules having a 6ft flame belch from the exhaust at 200mph due to the sheer heat of the spent gasses.
