It would have been nice if it was someone who did have some interesting skill/power/mind control, but in fact it turns out he's just full of BS.
When you know he's full of BS, then you can be pretty sure this whole mind control to get someone on a plane isn't going to be much more than dull documentary about an actor that pretends to be scared before he goes on a plane.

An old housemate of mine was a feature participant in much the same way as this; some time ago. I was roped into the setup by the Derren Brown team and had to let the TV crew into the house for secret filming; tip them off where my housemate was going to be and at what times... get my housemate to be places at certain times - all of this was quite thankless and I wondered what I'd gotten myself into as they'd ring me at work for info and to set things up... anyway, my housemate found it to be a revelation in as much as, he genuinely changed his outlook on life and became a different person. I thought it was all frickin crazy and that you'd have to be weak minded to go along with half the setup stuff in the first place. Derren is no magician but from my own expereince, he seems to be able to tap into someone's inner self; however cheesy that sounds!!!
