Have a 1989 400SE. Can anyone identify the white warning light bottom-left of the speedo? It's always on at the moment. Never used to light at all before a visit to the auto-electrician.

On my '89 400se the lower 2 spaces on the left of the speedo were originally unused. I've fitted an LED in one to indicate when the engine cooling fan is on. Sounds like yours has also been modified in some way. Alarm warning light that's gone wrong perhaps?

Thanks for the Alice in Wonderland - type support. I can tell you now there's plenty wrong, but it still goes fast enough to get me stopped by the police, but leaves them too far behind initially to actually get a fix on my crimes.

The warning light panels are whatever you want them to be. I have changed mine during the recent rebuild so that the indicator lights are higher up - they were at the bottom.

The light that is on must be connected to something. Ask the auto-electrician. Have you thought about checking the brake fluid reservoir or is the handbrake on slightly?

My brake light flashes constantly meaning i have too much fluid in, as for the machine guns id much rather prefer it to be an ejector seat. So i can get rid of that whining whinging moaning noise every time i put my foot down. Strangely only happens whilst out with wife??????

Jesus did i really write that she reads these postings gulp getmecoat

Order! Order! OK - from now on I'm gonna treat it as a map light! Anyone have a problem with that??
