Getting Stainless steel dash fitted

Hey guys, how's you. Anyway, due to a posting to Northern Ireland, can no longer afford to insure my chim as prices over here are unbelieveable!! Anyway getting my car ready for sale and as i have a crack in the veneer, getting it fixed before i sell. Have been quoted some fairly expensive prices to get it re- veneered, so decided i may as well get steel dash fitted as this is not liable to crack in a hurry. This a good idea or not?

Out of interest, how much were you quoted for re-veneering the dash?

I've got some cracks in mine too and would like to sort them out, mine arn't too noticeable, but annoying once you know they are there!

Personally I'm not so keen on the metal dash.

Was quoted £300 or so to get top part removed,veneered and replaced and hl gorner reckon bout 600- 700 to take out send away. Not to keen on removing and replacing myself as heard it's quite easy to damage again whilst replacing. Can get stainless steel fitted for £500.

Hmmmm....how much have you been quoted insurance wise ??
Im in N.I. and am insured thru AON for £400 !
