Have people got nothing better to do?

Just popped to the postbox in my car. The car in question is in my profile.
As I got back my iphone pinged with a new email. This is what it said:-

email said:

Hi, I;ve just followed your chrome smart car along Elvetham Road -great gimic - BUT the damn thing has near blinded me - I've had to endure the length of Elvetham road (about 1.25 miles of it!) with refleced sun shining in my eyes from all parts of the back of the car.

Is that thing legal???????

I'll send you the bill for the damage to my eyes if I see the damn thing again

Get yourself some cheap promotional sunglasses branded with your company logo and send some to them - could also distribute them to bystanders when you park up.

Maybe also enquire how they intend to deal with low winter sunshine over the next few months.

Seems like a fairly legitimate complaint to me. Reflections from your car impaired his vision. 99.9% of other cars wouldn't have had the same effect therefore he is curious to it's legality. What's wrong with that?

I think it's a fairly legitimate complaint, you're driving around in a car that can very easily reflect blinding light in all directions & you seem to think that it's ok?

I like the look of the car, but maybe you need to have a think about how it can affect other drivers.

Did you by any chance buy that car off Mr.C at Big Performance?

Almost had the chrome panel dip done to my brabus roadster.Apparently its a grey area in legal terms. If you think about it many milk, or liquid transport trucks have polished steel/chrome effect (reflects light and heat to aid in keeping temps stable) and no one is arresting the owners as far as I know.

I would email the stroppy cow back and ask her specifically what part of the car the sun was reflecting off (rear panel, sides, roof etc.) and tone down said part for future reference. Let the dozy bh know you've listened to her input and acted on it then offer a small discount on any future number plate needs.

Turn her into a happy customer or product champion if you can. She is your target market after all...
