i always thought these things were intended for rapid troop deployment etc, not as a gun platform, there doesn seem to be much space for the bootnecks.

Very cool pictures though!

That is truely amazing piece of kit. It is such a shame that it will never move again, it should at least go to a museum instead of being left to rot like that.

Russia is full of the most amazing abandoned stuff.

Most of them are. Apparently it was supposed to reduce pilot eye fatigue and improve instrument contrast.
